22 November 2011 Can any one help whats the maximum amount which one can invest in ppf is it 70000 or 100000

22 November 2011 maximum limit is 100000

22 November 2011 You can invest up to a maximum of Rs 60,000 per annum in the PPF. Some categories of investors, like authors, can go up to Rs 70,000. The minimum that you must put in every year is Rs 500.

Besides having such a huge leeway in terms of the amount of money to be invested, you can invest the money in up to 12 installments. You don't have to put it all in one go. Each installment can be whatever amount you want it to be. They need not all be identical.

22 November 2011 as per 80C you can invest 1,00,000/- in PPF. But as per PPF rule you can only invest 70,000/- p.a. beyond this you will not get any benefit of interest. So if present you can invest only 70,000/- p.a. in PPF. But Govt is planning to increase this limit to 1 lac in PPF rules also in these winter session.
