Power of attorney of a non audit file for scrutiny u/s142(1)

ITO has sent a scrutiny notice u/s 142(1) for assessment.It ia a file having turnover Rs 1000000 and Net Profit Rs 90000.Not Audit File.Is it mandatary to engage an advocate or a chartered accountant?

In this very case can I send my representative who is neither a CA nor a Advocate?Actually my file is a hand of general Tax Practitioner.

yes, you can do that, not an issue.....
few basic rules of AGENCY are to be followed....viz. the person should have attained the age of majority, the person should not have been caught under moral turpitude, the person should not be insolvent, the person should be of sound mind etc.
