It was exempted upto 31.03.2012. W.e.f. 01.04.2012 provisions have been changed and now receipt basis of service tax payment will be allowed to individual and Partnership firms if their aggregate value of taxable service was upto Rs. 50 Lac then they can pay service tax on receipt basis on upto first total of Rs. 50 lacs
