16 April 2010 I am Delhi university correspondence graduate. My academic marks are not so good due to some reason but i am intelligent. Now i am very confused about my career, wanted to do MBA but do not have 50% in graduation. so i enrolled for cpt june-10 exam. MY age is 28 year.

now i am very concern about 3 years internship period which i have to do after one year. i think this is a right career for me but i would be able to achieve it only at the age of 32.
32 is the right age to do ca or what other option i have?

16 April 2010 Dear, your worries are genuine, everyone at this stage would feel alike. My suggestion would be if you have made your mind for CA, go for it. because I know few people who did their CA course after the age of 45.
And don't worry about training/internship, there are CAs who pay as per market rate, so when you join, think you have filled any bond with him and are in job for 3 years instead of training.

Dear, this training part is the most important part of CA course, without it CA course would be useless. so, don't take it lightly.

Other options are so many like MBA, M.Com (any Stream), CFA, LLB but in any course you will be awarded degree but in CA, you will become professional, you could go for job or practice yourself, which is not possible in other course except LLB.

16 April 2010 thanks a lot Sir, very right said. i am totally agree with you and this a right solution for me. Thanks You

16 April 2010 100% agree with CA Rajesh ji, i appreciate your decision. CA have a good carrer.

19 April 2010 i have a different opinion
4 years is minimum possible time, so it may take beyond this.
i am not discouraging you, but want to say that you must check following points before joining, coz i personally know many people who enroll for CA/CS/ICWA at latter stage and after spending 2-3 years they are no where. please know that.....
1. during your training period you will get a stipend of RS 1500-2000 and i will be full time training, can you manage you expenses in such amount?
2. what will happen if you dont qualify CA after that period? so you must have a back-up , in same manner in which a Civil Service preparing student made.
3. maximum age for a fresher CA/CS/CWA in PSU/MNC is 27-30 years.
if you have no problem, then CA is no doubts a good Career

19 April 2010 Dear Arif........ What you said is no doubt true... but there is also other side of picture.. Two persons fate is not always the same.

Let me go point-wise:
1. For stipend, as I earlier said, there are many CA's around who give more than decided stipend, provided you should not be a time watcher.

2. For qualifying, You need to believe yourself. Future is no doubt uncertain, but that doesn't mean you should give up before even trying. Not to forget the famous quote " Do your best and leave the rest."

3. For this I would say that only MNC is not the last resort. A person, master of his field never finds work less. After becoming CA, your career avenue broadens, you can think of working/practice in innumerable fields.

CA profession is no doubt the best career option, if considered among other degree courses.

19 April 2010 Think posative

23 April 2010 Dear Rajesh,
As i said , i am not discouraging anybody. i said if he has no problem with above mention condition then no doubts these course are better.
no doubts , every one must think positively, but must also have a back up in case he not succeed
