A widow women recieved monthly pension.His husband was govt officer in police. he died due to heartattack on duty time. Is pension taxable in the hand of widow???

Family Pension is taxable under the head Income from other sources. . In respect of family pension, deduction u/s 57(iia) of Rs. 15000 or 1/3rd of the amount received, whichever is less, is available.
