Penalty on late payment of service tax

05 April 2013 i forgot payment of service tax for last month i.e. march 2013 due some unavoidable reason.
Should i pay service tax now on normal rates or pay with interest / penalty ?

05 April 2013 Excise duty and service tax has to be paid befor 31.03

If the same has not been paid we need to pay along with interest on the payment date
