Let me know, what is the penalty for delay in filing the e-tds returns.

Delay in filing of e TDS return entails penalty u/s 272A sebsection 2 clause 'c' which is Rs . 100/- per day for the period of default. However, such penalty may not exceed the amount of TDS involved.

However till now this penalty has not been imposed on any entity. But everybody should take care of the last date.
