Payment in cheque

13 August 2015 I got salary in cheque of Rs.10000
There are not any deduction in payment and also not getting any salary form from employer.
If I file ITR, which type of Income I have to show, and in which ITR?

13 August 2015 if u recieved only 10,000 for a fy and no tds deducted nor u have other income then no itr should be filed

14 August 2015 I agree that no need to file return, but problem is that cheque deposit in joint bank account and if I don't file ITR, the income would count in my spouse ITR which will taxable, thats why I need to file return. Kindly guide me If I've misunderstanding any.

16 August 2015 You can file ITR 1, showing income under salary.
