27 December 2010 Sir, i need to ask for surrenderig pan of firm,is there any applicaton format to write to AO for this purpose.
or a simple application could be given ?

28 December 2010 You cannot surrender PAN card. There is no provision for surrendering the PAN card.

28 December 2010 Sir most of people said that it should be surrenderd to AO of Income tax Office with a application on simple paper.

28 December 2010 No it cannot be done. if u r having doubt u plz contact NSDL office. u cannot do that.

You can only get new PAN for old (i.e reprinting) or you can apply for correction in PAN.

28 December 2010 If you have 2 PAN then you can surrender One PAN to AO

29 December 2010 Oh sorry you are speaking about firms PAN. So for that you can make an application to AO for the same.

29 December 2010 its thr. u will get 4 link. clink on to 3rd link.

But i will suggest u to visit department also. Because the surrender specifies for duplicate card only. so i request u to plz visit department.
