is pan card should apply through any CA or we can also make application directly, if what is the procedure and where can i get that.
i heard from friends that to get passport there should me pan card mandatory. is it correct.

You can apply for PAN card directly, no need for a CA or any other professional.
PAN card is not mandatory for passport application.
