08 August 2015 Respected sir, is it really legally necessary to change address in PAN database in case of e filing of ITR? Even if legally it is necessary, does an assesse who frequently changes address due to transferable job, can avoid it practically without under any legal consequence?

08 August 2015 It is not necessary to change the address each and every time.

Normally, income tax department will send the communication to the address, which mentioned in your return and not to the address as per your pan database.
