Dear expert, One of my client PAN was applied on 31-03-2012. However on 30-04-2012, PAN is still under process. I have contected on TIN customer care, they told me that they have forwarded the PAN application to department on 05-04-2012. I am wondering, why they are taking so long time ? Please advise me.

Possibilities are: 1. Some time it takes time so nothing to worry. 2. Courier did not found anybody at your given address so the document returned.

It seems that this is your first experience. You may wait for a week or so. Generally, in the cases where particulars furnished in the Form are found correct and perfectly match with the evidences annexed, 20-25 days time is a normal duration. .
