18 August 2010 i have a query on PAN that having the PAN Number in hand how can we get the PAN Holders name..?? because this causes a great difficulty in TDS e-return filing.

Lot of people revise TDS returns in this non-matching of PAN with PAN Holders name. Help me in this regard.

18 August 2010 Go to tin-nsdl website.
Log on to pay tax online.

select challan 280

Fill in the PAN
fill other details if u want or fill anything in them

when u press next u will get the name as there with the ITD database.

18 August 2010 Thank u for ur reply sir.. I tried this and find it more time taking process as the PAN data given by clients are in Hundreds. pls let me know if there is some other way.

18 August 2010 There was a link previously on incometaxindia.gov.in but now the same has been removed.

for which some money is to be paid to NSDL for registration and viewing the same.
