Order us sec 139(9) considering itr invalid

My ITR is considered as Invalid us 139(9) as I have not rectified defect in 15 days of Defective ITR notice. Now can I file the Return again in fresh for that AY (2015-16) or what can be the consequences for ITR declared Invalid by dept ??
