ICAI declared notification that CPT will be exempted for Graduated Studen. It is true that CPT exam will be exempted for BCOm student?? BCOZ i completed BCOM in 2010 itmeans I'll be free from CPT exam & I will get admission for IPCC exam PLZ give ur reply................

THE CENTRAL COUNCIL AT ITS 306TH MEETING REVIEWED THE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR CA COURSE AND SUGGESTED THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA FOR GRADUATES: THE FOLLOWING GRADUATES AND POST GRADUATES ARE EXEMPTED FROM WRITING CPT : (Read this for Students who have passed Intermediate level conducted by ICWAI/ ICSI)
1. Commerce Graduates/Post-Graduates and have studied any 3 full papers of 100 marks each out of
Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management including Financial Management, Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc., Costing, Business Administration, Management Accounting & Passed the graduate/post-graduate examination by securing in the aggregate a Minimum of 55% of the Total marks or its equivalent grade from any recognized Universities including Open Universities.
2. Graduates/ Post Graduates who are not falling under above Category are who have passed the graduation/post-graduation examination by securing in the aggregate a minimum of 60% of the total marks in the examination or its equivalent grade from any Recognized Universities including Open Universities.
THE CANDIDATES WHO MEETS ABOVE REQUIREMENTS (1 & 2 ) ARE ELIGIBLE TO DIRECTLY JOIN ARTICLESHIP TRAINING
Note: Students who are pursuing Final year of graduation are eligible for Provisional Registration and are eligible to Write IPCC exam ONLY after Appearing for Final year Graduation Exam. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
It may kindly be noted that the above decisions of the Council will come into force subject to relevant provisions of the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988 being amended, and the approval of the Central Government, and public exposure as required by law for which the process is in progress.
