01 February 2023 I need filled Form 26 Q & 24Q for the F.Y. 2008-09.

Expert, kindly guide how to get the filled forms as filled by previous employee & we did not find data.

03 August 2024 To obtain filled Form 26Q and Form 24Q for the Financial Year 2008-09, here are the steps you can take:

### 1. **Contact the Previous Employer or Tax Consultant**
- **Previous Employer**: If you have contact details for the previous employer or their accounts department, reach out to them. They should have records of the TDS returns filed during that period.
- **Tax Consultant**: If a tax consultant was used for filing these forms, they might have retained copies of the filed forms.

### 2. **Check with the Tax Department**
- **Income Tax Department**: You can request copies of the filed TDS returns by contacting the Income Tax Department. They may provide copies of Form 26Q and 24Q if you provide the necessary details, such as the TAN of the deductor and the relevant financial year.

### 3. **Visit the TDS Reconciliation Analysis and Correction Enabling System (TRACES) Portal**
- **TRACES Portal**: The TRACES portal allows you to view and download TDS returns filed. To access this:
1. **Log in** to the TRACES portal (https://www.tdscpc.gov.in).
2. **Navigate** to the ‘View Tax Credit’ section.
3. **Select** the appropriate Financial Year and download the required forms if available.
- **Note**: For the FY 2008-09, records may not be accessible directly on the portal, but this is worth checking.

### 4. **Reconstruct the Data**
- **Bank Statements and Financial Records**: If you cannot retrieve the exact forms, reconstructing the data using bank statements, payment records, and other financial documents from that period may be necessary. This will involve recalculating TDS deductions and filling out the forms manually.

### 5. **Access Form Templates**
- **Form 26Q**: Used for quarterly statement of tax deducted at source on payments other than salary.
- **Form 24Q**: Used for quarterly statement of tax deducted at source on salary payments.

You can download these forms from the Income Tax Department’s website or use tax filing software that supports the period in question. The completed forms should contain the following details:

- **Form 26Q**: Contains details like TAN of the deductor, PAN of the deductee, amount paid, TDS deducted, etc.
- **Form 24Q**: Contains details like TAN of the deductor, PAN of the employee, salary paid, TDS deducted, etc.

### Sample Form Templates

1. **Form 26Q**:
- You need to fill in the details related to TDS on non-salary payments, including payment details, deduction details, and the TAN of the deductor.
