06 July 2009 There are some entities (not companies) which carry on activities like that of NBFCs. Are they allowed to take deposits? Who regulates them?

07 July 2009 Unregistered NBFC's are not allowed to take deposits. The Reserve Bank of India directions on acceptance of deposits will regulate those type of companies for acceptance of deposits.
