25 December 2013 An assessee who makes payment of service tax under reverse charge is eligible to take CENVAT credit of the tax so paid.

Such CENVAT credit can be utilized to pay excise duty on final products.

In case the manufacturer is unable to utilize the CENVAT credit, he can claim refund of the same.
