More than 1 tan

can anyone tell me that if one assessee is having 2 TAN's then can he get threshold limit twice ?

Thresh hold limit is under PAN & Not TAN.

Also note that all TAN nos. are lined to PAN no.

23 January 2014 Dear all,

can assessee having 2 TAN's at two branches can make 2 different persons liable to make payment.?

For e.g. Assessee is having 2 branches & 2
TAN's. X & Y are person in-charge
at branches.
Now can TAN be obtained in the
name of X & Y ?

but is it possible to have TAN in the name of X & Y (referred in above example) without having separate PAN...?

TAN is issued in the name of deductor, so you can not get it issued in name of an employee of firm.
