I cleared my CA this november attempt. I am totally confused about which career option to choose. I am confused between Finance (Mostly banking) and IT (ERP and Business Intelligence) Finance: It is the traditional field for CA's. As such there is more stability. However, one may get bored doing the same routine work. IT: It is the hottest career option as of today. ERP implementation, XBRL are need of the day where CA's are being hired as Functional Consultant. However, it is an unconventional area as compared to Finance. Some of my seniors don't recommend it. I am seriously confused and need your help. I have equal liking towards both the options. Which one to choose?

Both r good option, my view you can go with finance and u can try for CFA usa one which makes more proficient in finance and you can reach good positions..CFA has world wide scope and it will be good combination with CA..

According to my view IT would b the best. As far as present scenario of ERP implementation is concerned. Most of my friends have got selected in mahindra satyam for the same position as u said. Wait for others opinion too.
