12 June 2009 Dear Expert/s,

We are a battery manufacturing Co. and Registered with Central Excise.Now we want to sold our own product with M.R.P mention on the Packing Box.
Hence I request you to all please tell me the procedure to fix M.R.P

14 June 2009 You require to confirm that your item is set out in the list of products under MRP- See the Central Excise Tariff for this.
It will also set out t\what is the abatment from the MRP value. You may reduce that %age and on the balance charge the ED.
The price metnioned on the Box should be the price on which the CED has been paid.
