08 September 2012 I am looking for sorted entries from the list function, means if i look at the list from the drop down it should give the sorted entries, like if i want to look A it should show like

1. A
4. A
9. A

1. A
2. B
3. C
4. A
5. D
6. B
7. C
8. B
9. A
10.D

10 September 2012 Apply a filter to the column in which your data is stored.

Then you can filter using the required criteria.

10 September 2012 Dear Mr. Bhardwaj,

I know doing a filter in the main sheet the desired information could be get but i am looking for in the validation tool level where selecting a list it would automatically give the sorted data.
