Levying of excise on a machinery to be donated

please resolve my query as soon as possible. I need to know that if any company deals in making machines wants to donate a machine , whether it should charge Excise on the same or it can save it ?

19 May 2014 Even if goods will be removed free of cost duty of excise will be payable on assessable value of the goods.
