Can anyone of you pls tell me what r the consequances of leaving the job without notice. I did not sign any bond but i signed my appointment letter according to which i have to pay one month salary in lieu of notice. But if i don't want relieving letter than it is necessary to pay the notice period salary.

Employment is a contract and both parties (employer and employee) will have to abide by it. Concequeces of violation of the contract both the parties will have to face.

It will be a breach of contract and company has all the rights to proceed against you if they like.
Professionally also it is not considered a good conduct and any other incident of same nature may put a label on you.
When you accept the terms of the appointment you must obey them or if there are violations by the company then let them know and put pressure on the company to terminate your service or company ask you to leave and in this case you can claim notice period payment.
