Is there any Penalty & Interest for late remittance of EPF Employee Contribution?

25 February 2009 Interest has to be paid for delay. If there is uneven dealy without assiging proper reasons then penalty is leviable. Futher for the delay in payment the contributions will be disallowed in the hands of the company.
