Late filing of return

29 August 2014 Dear Sir,

If we file our return of FY 2009-10, now after 4 year what is the rule to file the return? It should be or necessary to file all 4 years or last two years.

Plz. suggest n advice.

29 August 2014 Firstly you CANNOT file ITR for AY 2009-10 as the return is time barred.
The return could have been filed by 31/03/2011

Secondly there is no requirement that return should be filed every year unless it is mandatory as per the Act
