Landlord not sharing pan number

This query is : Resolved

19 February 2014 Dear Sir,

I am paying a monthly rent of Rs 8,500 and now require Lanlord's PAN Number to claim my HRA.

My Landlord has denied to share his PAN Number. I somehow recovered his PAN Number from Income Tax Website.

My query is whether I need the photostat of Landlord's Pan Card or merely the Lanlord's PAN Number is enough for me to claim my HRA?

Kindly reply. Thanks.

Regards
Vijay

19 February 2014 Hi

Only PAN is enough, & if he is not sharing PAN you can ask submit declaration to employer form Landloard that he is not having PAN.

Thx

19 February 2014 Dear Vaibhav Ji,

Thanks for your reply.

But Landlord is neither providing his PAN number nor any declaration to state the reason for the same.

Now, in that case, as I am having the Landlord's Pan Number only but not the photostat of his PAN Card, would it help me to claim my HRA?

Regards
Vijay
