i have just passed out cpt and further for ipcc registration i had a query to ask.i actually want to know,are there any benefits of passing out ipcc BOTH GROUPS in 1st attempt? does it make any difference if i refuse to go for one by one.i.e group 1 in may and group 2 in november? please answer to this query as early as possible , as i have to do ipcc registration.

you can decide not to appear in both the groups together. but you lose out on some benefits:
1. inter-groups set off. For eg: you score more than 50% marks in one group but less than 50% in the second. Now, if you appear in both groups together, marks in all the seven papers shall be considered to arrive at passing eligibility instead of group wise.
