Cast iron is covered under (iv) of section 14 of the CST Act, 1956. And all goods covered under section 14 of the CST Act, 1956 shall be taxable under section 4(b) (i) of the Karnataka VAT read with section 15(a) of the CST Act, 1956 @ 5% MAXIMUM.
