16 December 2014 i using tally erp for book keeping..
i have one project says "mumbai construction"
there are 4 worker says ramesh suresh aadil alpesh....so i create this employee on payroll....
how can i give the effect for the wages rs 10000 to alpesh with cost center says mumbai project....my question is my ledger is wages expenses my employee name is alpesh..then how can i give this effect with cost center mumbai project??

17 December 2014 Gateway of Tally > F11: Features > Accounting Features.

Under Cost/Profit Centres Management set Maintain Cost Centres to Yes, Use Cost Centre for Job Costing to Yes

Set Maintain Multiple Godowns to Yes in F11: Company Features (F2: Inventory Features).

Then go to Gateway of Tally > Accounts Info > Cost Centres > Create

Set the option Use for Job Costing to Yes.

Go to Gateway of Tally> Inventory Info. > Godowns > Create

In the Godown Creation screen, Allow Storage of Materials is automatically set to Yes

An additional field Set Job/Project Name for Job Costing is displayed. Press the spacebar in the field and the list of Cost Centres for which Use for Job Costing was set to yes is displayed in the List of Cost Centres sub-screen.

Select the Cost Centre to which the Godown is associated.

Create all the ledgers that you want. Ensure that the field Cost Centres are applicable? is Yes for all the Ledger Accounts you want to include in Job Costing.

Now you can record the entry and allocate the cost

17 December 2014 thanx but my query is when i pay wages..i make entry for this in payment voucher, in this my ledger is "wages expenses" and whether 2 cost center say alpesh(as employee cost center) and second is mumbai project...i want to give such effect with this i can show the wages with worker name in the mumbai site project
