Interest u/s 234A will be levied only on Self Assessment Tax portion. If there is refund or NIL tax return there will not be any Interest u/s 234A. Rate of interest, if applicable, is 1% for month or part of month on such SA Tax from the date immediately following due date upto actual date of filing.
