Hi, I'm trying to fillin the ITR 2 (I have house property). I've filled in the TDS info from the 2 employers. But both have not deducted HRA.
My parents reside in the property, and it is not in Bangalore(where I work). So no rental income.
So I've shown just the interest loss and offset it against salary income. Hope that is fine.
1. My doubt is can I claim HRA now ... ? 2. If yes; In ITR 2 where should I deduct the amount of HRA ..? 3. Should I show the rent receipts while getting ITR V acknowledged ..? 4. If HRA cannot be claimed, can I atleast claim the minimum 24000 under 80 GG ...?

Basically, the income is computed by the assessee himself which may differ from the income computed by the employer for the purpose of TDS u/s 192. In ur case, you should compute ur income from salaries afresh and fill the revised figures as calculated by urself. However, the figures appearing on form 16 may be furnished, as it is, in the TDS details to be given in the return.

Figures in Schedule TDS1 should be as per the TDS Certificate(Salary Certificate) on Form 16 issued by the Employer while the figures as per Self assement done by computing the income afresh be given in in rest of the columns.
