I m confused which return I should file ITR 1 or 2 since I m a salaried person income from employer, FD int, House loan etc. Further what is exempted income ? Int income credited in ppf ACC. is mean as exempted income?

Yes Interest Credited to PPF Account is exempted Income. If exempted Income is more than Rs 5000 you need to file ITR2 otherwise ITR1 can be filed in your case.
