Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

### 1. Verify GSTIN Format:
- **Check GSTIN:** Ensure that the GSTIN (15-digit alphanumeric number) provided in your JSON file is correct and in the valid format. The GSTIN should consist of 15 characters with the first two characters representing the state code, followed by 10 alphanumeric characters of PAN, one character indicating entity type (like C for company), one character for blank space, and one checksum digit.
- **Correct Format:** Example of a correct GSTIN format: 29ABCDE1234F1Z5.

### 2. JSON File Validation:
- **Validate JSON:** Use a JSON validator or online tools to validate your JSON file structure. Ensure that all fields, including GSTIN, are correctly formatted according to the GSTN guidelines.

### 3. Manual Check:
- **Manual Verification:** Double-check the GSTIN provided in your JSON file against official documents or records to ensure accuracy.

### 4. Error Handling:
- **Error Report:** Since the portal is not generating an error report, it's challenging to pinpoint the exact issue. However, ensure that you are reviewing any system-generated error messages or logs that might provide clues on the specific error encountered.

### 5. Contact GST Helpdesk:
- **Support Assistance:** If the issue persists and you cannot identify the error, contact the GST helpdesk or support team for assistance. Provide them with details of the error message and the steps you have taken to troubleshoot the issue.

### 6. Amend and Re-upload:
- **Correction and Re-upload:** Once you have identified and corrected the GSTIN format error in your JSON file, attempt to re-upload the corrected file on the GST portal.

### Additional Tips:
- **Documentation:** Keep documentation of all steps taken, error messages encountered, and communications with the GST helpdesk for future reference.
- **Regular Updates:** Check for any updates or changes in the GST portal requirements or formats that may affect your JSON file upload process.

By following these steps and ensuring the correct GSTIN format in your JSON file, you should be able to resolve the "GSTIN is not in valid format" error while uploading the ITC-01 form on the GST portal.
