13 June 2012 The person earned income less than taxable limit,,,,,,,,,,but the person want to file income tax return,,,,,,,,,

can he filed it return?
if so then what itr will be applicable to him?

14 June 2012 Yes he can file a return even if his income does not exceed the exemption limit.

Type of return will depend on the income.

Please specify the nature of the income.

15 June 2012 You can show as business income. ITR 4 is to be filed.

Alternatively you can also show under Income from Other Sources. In that case, ITR 1 will be filed.
