If any salaried person has not filed a return of income within 31st july and he has tax liability of rs. 2500/- to be paid then whehter there is a penalty provision in IT Act. Thanks

One can file return of income without attracting the penalty provisions up the end of assessment year that is 31st of march folloaing the FY.
