Hello!! My mother is a senior citizen. She has pention income and bank interest income all amounting to Rs. 3-3.5 lacs/ a year.( TDS Deducted by bank) not claimed.
She has filed IT Retuen only for AY 2012-13.
Now should she file her return AY 2016-17 directly so that she can get refund? Should she file the returns for 2013-14 to 2015-16?
Please help

Not necessary to file earlier returns if she did not have Total Income above the non-taxable limit

If you have refund for Ay 2015-16 than you can file the return.
