Is training mandatory for cs ??

I want to know, whether 15 months training is compulsory for cs?? Iam a ca student & hence not interested to do the training under cs. I have heard that, 15 months training under cs is optional. Is this applicable even now?? Please reply.

15 month tranning is compulsory when want to member of ICSI otherwise no need to do tranning.
