This query is : Resolved

21 March 2008 Recently, a CA(who is ca since 1991 and in service) and an article of pcc told me that:

The study modules and the study materials given by icai are:

a)have too complicated and confusing language (the pcc student said)

b)the books covers more topics than that in syllabus (both said)

c)the study technique of most pcc students is that to refer books of other authors;guide books; OR materials by coaching.

To what extent is this true and what are its (side) effects....

21 March 2008 Hi Sushant,

I personally believe that this help a lot in my course, subject to fact that they are not outdated. There are maximum chances that some of the questions are printed in questions paper as it is from module. SO I DISAGREE WITH THE FACTS.

21 March 2008 ICAI IS FORMED UNDER AN ACT OF PARLIAMENT AND IS GUIDING THE PROFESSION OF ACCOUNTANCY IN THE WORRLD'S BIGGEST DEMOCRACY.
ICAI DISCHARGES ITS OBLIGATIONS TO THE BEST OF EFFORTS AND EXPERTISE AVAILABLE IN THE COUNTRY.
THE STUDY MATERIAL AND BOOKS REFERRED BY ICAI ARE AMONG THE BEST IN THE WORLD.
BOARD OF TUTORS AND OTHER COMMITTEES ARE RENOWNED EXPERTS.
I BEG TO DIFFER IF ANY ONE CHARGES ICAI AS UNPROFEESIONAL OR LACKING IN CARING FOR STUDENTS NEEDS OR GUIDANCE.
