Please let me know, that is it mandatory to file GSTR9C in respect of cases exceeding turnover of 2 crores OR is it optional

GSTR 9C is mandatory for turnover above 5 crore ,if your turnover is below 5 crore it is optional to file GSTR9C however GSTR9 is mandatory above 2 crore Turnover.
