For students registering under the direct entry scheme for IPCC (Integrated Professional Competence Course), here's how it generally works regarding eligibility for the November 2013 exams and the requirement to join articleship:
### **Eligibility for November 2013 IPCC Attempt:**
1. **Registration and Articleship:** - According to the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) guidelines, for the November 2013 attempt, you would need to ensure that you have completed the mandatory 9 months of articleship before the examination.
2. **Joining Articleship:** - If you are aiming for the November 2013 attempt, you should ideally start your articleship by January 2013. This is because you need to complete a minimum of 9 months of articleship before the examination. - The requirement to join articleship by September 30, 2012, was specifically for those aiming to appear for the May 2013 exams.
3. **Articleship Requirement:** - For the November 2013 attempt, the requirement to have joined articleship is not as stringent as for the May 2013 attempt. However, you should ensure that you meet the 9-month requirement before the November 2013 exams.
4. **Preparation and Exam Forms:** - Ensure that you have completed the ITT (Information Technology Training) and Orientation Course before you start your articleship or at least before the exams, as these are mandatory prerequisites.
### **Steps to Follow:**
1. **Confirm Articleship Timing:** - Ideally, join your articleship by January 2013 to meet the 9-month requirement for the November 2013 attempt.
2. **Complete Mandatory Training:** - Ensure that you complete ITT and Orientation Course within the stipulated time frame.
3. **Examination Forms:** - When filling out the exam forms for November 2013, you will need to declare your articleship status, so be prepared to provide proof of having completed the required duration of articleship.
### **Actionable Tips:**
- **Follow Up with ICAI:** - Since you have faced difficulties reaching out to ICAI, consider visiting the ICAI regional office in person for more clarity.
- **Check Updates:** - Regularly check the ICAI website or contact their helpdesk for any updates or changes in the guidelines.
By joining articleship by January 2013, you would be in a good position to meet the 9-month requirement for the November 2013 IPCC attempt. Ensure all other requirements, such as ITT and Orientation Course, are completed in time.
