Getting hands on experience in investment banking is really myth. It takes a lot of confidence. Better be in touch with the department of a BANK which has investment banking division.

Hi, Please find below answers to your queries.
1) Hands in experience if you want then go and pursue the course online distance programme from wallstreetprep.com or educorporatebridge.com. these institutions have minimum 6 months duration e-learning courses to make you ready for the knowledge you want in practical fields....If you want to pursue higher level academic & certification course then CFA(USA) is the ideal institution for your query. the average duration depends on case to case basis. normally 3 to 4 years required to pass all levels for average student. You can also consider course under NISM institute. search nism in google.and find the details on your own. 2) CAs are far better in the field of investment banking for better analysis.3) yes you can start after Nov 2012 exam 4)I would suggest CA is better. for getting into investment banking, you should have hands in experience. 5)Theoretical knowledge or certification not required. CA certification is sufficient. so I would suggest to do e learning courses.
