Can anyone tell me how can go about investing in shares?? What do I need to study to make a profitable investment?? What do I need to invest profitably in shares??

To start with, invest in MF. Gradually learn about shares by reading good magazines, books, newspapers on regular basis. Then after proper analysis, invest in shares.
