I have received an intimation from TDS Department(24q) for short deduction of an amt. of Rs.45980/- out of which demand of Rs.35800/- had arised due to improper calculation of Salary while the balance represents short deduction.So,is it possible to pay off the balance amt. i.e 10180/-(Rs.45980-35800) and file a correction statement for Rs.35800/-.
