18 February 2013 dear sir, one of my friends had e filled for tds refund for AY2012-13 and his refund was made after 3 months. now he has received intimation of us 143(1) . what does it mean?

18 February 2013 Intimation u/s 143(1) means the income tax return of your friend has been processed at CPC, Bangalore. This intimation is sent to every assessee who files his/her income tax return.
