21 June 2017 Is there any bar on sale to unregistered dealers in the course of interstate trade?

OR say

Whether A Ltd. based in delhi will be able to make interstate sales to an unregistered dealer in Mumbai??

Someone told me that after GST is introduced the above transaction cannot be effected.
Plz help me.

21 June 2017 it can be done no problem.
IGST is required to be charged in such case

I think the purchaser is required to get mandatorily registered under GST and there is no restriction on seller?

21 June 2017 A Ltd is based at Delhi, having GST registration.
A Ltd can sell goods to unregistered dealer from Mumbai. No issues.

Now i want to know from the view point of the buyer.

Whether in the above case the unregistered buyer in Mumbai purchasing from a registered dealer based in New delhi is required to get mandatorily registered under GST??

21 June 2017 Yes, if a dealer is indulge in interstate supply then he has to get himself registered is mandatory under GST and also there is no threshold limit for dealer engaged in interstate trade

I think Threshold limit of 20 lakhs can be claimed but composition scheme only can not be opted for..


21 June 2017 No, As per 24(1)(i) of GST Act 2017 Person making interstate supply is required to get himself registered under GST even he has turnover of Rs.1

21 June 2017 Schedule III states that person making any inter state supply (outward and/or inward or both), irrespective of any thresh hold limit
