11 December 2009 Govt. Servant Husband got retired in Nov'09. Now he will get Pension.

He was taking home loan tax advantage on repayment of EMI from his banks salary a/c for the residential house in his name.

After retirement his wife a private school teacher having taxable income want to take benefit of home loan EMI repayment from her own income.

Can she do that?

11 December 2009 I think if husband takes benefit of H.L before retirement...now wife can not take benefit of it..even if she has taxable income..
others opinion is also important.
