Input tax credit

This query is : Resolved

11 November 2017 We have received shipment from China from unregistered dealer. I think all imported vendors will come under un-registered category. Now during arrival custom duty was imposed & also 10% Anti dumping duty.
in addition to that they have charges IGST@18%. we have given our GST No. It is there in Bill of Entry also.
Can we claim Input Tax Credit?
Please let me know from our dear members.
Thank u
Vinod

11 November 2017 Yes input tax credit can be claimed on IGST 18% paid.

11 November 2017 You can avail credit of only IGST paid at the time of Import as per Bill of Entry. Credit of Basic Custom Duty and Anti Dumping duty not available
