I am a chartered accountant and practicing at present. I have received a good offer from aboard for working as a finance controller. I have made my mind to accept it. But I am a little confused. Actually This company wants me to do CISA. I suggest the company that I should do DISA first. Am I right in my suggestion. What is the difference between CISA and DISA. Actually Degree or diploma is not important for me and company wants me that I should have working knowledge of system audit as it is starting a new company for info system audit. I just want to know whether DISA has ability to give me the working knowledge of information system Audit or I should do CISA.

Technically, DISA follows more or less the same course pattern as CISA, however, DISA is a diploma run by the ICAI, while CISA is a certificate course run by an International Organization, ISACA (formerly Information Systems Audit and Control Association), which has got world-wide recognition, so if you are going to work for an International organisation, you will be better off doing CISA instead of DISA, recognition for which is currently limited to India only.
