Incorporation Form challan

This query is : Resolved

10 December 2022 The name has been approved but the incorporation form challan status shows as payment not applicable, if I cancel the SRN of the incorporation challan so will I be able to use the same SRN of name approval?

09 July 2024 If the status of the incorporation form's challan shows "payment not applicable," it typically means that no payment is required for that specific form. This could happen in cases where the filing fee might have been paid earlier or where the form does not require a payment at all.

Regarding your question about cancelling the SRN (Service Request Number) of the incorporation challan and reusing the SRN of the name approval:

1. **SRN and Reuse**: SRN is a unique identifier for a specific transaction or service request made to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). SRNs are generally not reusable once they have been used for a particular transaction. Each SRN is associated with a specific payment and form submission.

2. **Name Approval SRN**: Once you have used an SRN for name approval and it has been processed, that SRN is typically closed for further use. It cannot be reused for another transaction, such as incorporation or any other filing.

3. **Cancellation and SRN Use**: Cancelling an SRN related to a particular transaction, such as an incorporation form, typically doesn't affect the SRN used for name approval. These are separate transactions with their own SRNs and processes.

To proceed effectively:

- **Payment Not Applicable**: If the incorporation form shows "payment not applicable," ensure that you have completed all necessary steps for the form submission, including attaching required documents and verifying details.

- **New SRN for Incorporation**: If you need to proceed with incorporation and a new SRN is required for filing the incorporation form, you would need to generate a new SRN specifically for that purpose through the MCA portal.

- **Contact MCA Helpdesk**: If you encounter specific issues or uncertainties regarding SRNs or payments on the MCA portal, it's advisable to contact the MCA helpdesk or support for clarification and assistance.

In summary, SRNs are generally not reusable across different types of transactions. Each transaction or service request typically requires a new SRN generated specifically for that purpose.
